Bradley University's Biology Department is recruiting six undergraduate
students to participate in a 10-week intensive summer research
experience in integrated ecology.  From May 30 -August 4, 2006,
participants will work in collaborative research teams and will gain
experience in molecular, physiological, organismal, community and
ecosystem approaches to address real environmental problems along the
Illinois River Corridor.  The program is funded through the National
Science Foundation's Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
program.  Program particulars are as follows: =20

REU participants will=20

work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary research team

prepare a final research report in journal format

present research results in a final program symposium

participate in programmatic activities, including seminars, workshops
and social events

The selection of REU participants will be based on

    * record of academic accomplishment

    * letters of recommendation

    * statements of research interests and career goals

=20

REU participants will be provided

    * $3500 stipend

    * $1000 meal allowance=20

    * free on-campus housing

=20
