Greetings Eco-loggers, This is just a friendly reminder that the early registration deadline for this year's Midwest Ecology and Evolution Conference is January 15th, and thus approaching fast. Cost of registration currently is $40, but will go up to $50 dollars after that date. To register, go to: http://wallace.slu.edu/meec2006 MEEC is an annual, migratory conference organized by and for graduate students and post-docs. The conference is an excellent opportunity for students to network with others, learn about research being done in the midwest, and present their own research in a relaxed and low-key environment. The official host for this year's conference is St. Louis University. However, graduate students from Washington University and University of Missouri (both in St. Louis) are assisting in organizing the conference. Thus, the organizers of this meeting look on this conference as a cooperative project between the three universities. In this spirit, the theme of this year's conference is integration and cooperation in ecological research. We hope to see you all there!Todd SteuryDepartment of BiologyWashington UniversitySt. Louis, MO
