Ecologgers

A colleague has asked me to speak to a class of business and economics
students who are taking a special topics course on the rebuilding of New
Orleans after Katrina.

I had mentioned that some discussion should probably made made of the
wetland and river issues that made the destruction worse and that need to be
incorporated into any rebuilding plans. I got asked to pull a lecture
together and am scrambling a little.

Do any of you have references to any literature that pulls it together- the
history of environmental issues in the region , particularly wetland loss,
and how these relate to the future rebuilding? I'd appreciate any leads.

Thank you,
