Texas A&M University-Commerce seeks a Department Head of Biological & Environmental Sciences. This is a tenure-track position at the Associate Professor level. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Biology or related discipline with a record of significant research accomplishment in the area of plant biology or conservation biology, a record of obtaining extramural funding and experience leading a small, diverse community of biologists. Applicants should possess excellent English communication skills, demonstrated experience in academic leadership, and the commitment to integrate teaching and research at a predominantly undergraduate institution. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Candidates selected for this position must be eligible to work in the United States.
