MASTERS GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP: Hydrology / Water Quality A Graduate Research Assistantship at the M.S. level is immediately available in the School of Renewable Natural Resources, Louisiana State University. The successful applicant will work as part of a team with several graduate students and faculty on a project investigating the effects of forest operations on water quality in a rural area of Central Louisiana. The goal of the project is to evaluate the effectiveness of forest best management practices in protecting water quality at the watershed scale. Duties of this GRA will include field water quality instrumentation, in-stream water quality measurements and sampling, data analysis, and project report writing. The applicant must be in good physical condition and be able to travel out of town at least once a month and be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and withstand annoying insects.
