FIELD ASSISTANT URGENTLY NEEDED (15 MAY-15 JULY; DATES SOMEWHAT FLEXIBLE): I will be conducting field research on breeding birds in east-central Idahos Clearwater National Forest between the dates noted above and have recently had a field assistant cancel his commitment for personal reasons. I am looking for someone who can help me find nests of several species of birds, while living at a very remote field site under rustic conditions (tent-living without electricity or running water). Experience in nest- searching is not required, but a strong work ethic and ability to endure rugged weather and living conditions is a necessity. PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION TO ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT MAY BE INTERESTED. Details of travel to the field site are negotiable, but preference will be given to applicants that can drive their own vehicle (4-wheel drive is helpful but not required). This is a paid position with up to a two-month tenure. Salary is commensurate with experience in nest searching and will range from $800-1,200/mo. For more information contact MICHAEL KUEHN by 5 May 2006 (email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]). Please include (1) A cover letter describing any pertinent experience (2) the date you can report for work in Idaho, (3) a resume/CV with 3 references.
