Texas A&M University-Texarkana (A&M-Texarkana) invites nominations and = applications for the position of Truman and Anita Arnold Chair of = Computer and Information Sciences. The successful candidate will serve = as chair of the Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) program and = participate in the development of undergraduate and graduate CIS courses = and coordinate the accreditation of the program. Activities will include = undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and other duties assigned = by the Dean. Computer related courses have been offered for some time at = A&M-Texarkana, but the new Bachelor of Science degree in CIS will offer = an even richer mix of computer courses and research to meet current and = future demands.=20 Minimum qualifications: Candidate must have:=20 * An earned doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a = closely related computer field.=20 * A record of research and refereed publications.=20 * Active involvement in professional organizations.=20 * A demonstrated ability to acquire external funding and research = grants.=20 * Effective communication skills.
