I'm wondering if anyone can point me to the latest in the debate over
artificial reefs - the whole production vs attraction debate (do the reefs
increase fish production or simply act as magnets for existing fish?). Are
there any recent studies or review articles on this? What is the general
scientific consensus - or is there one?
I did some looking into this several years back and there was a Task Force
evaluating it in the Great Lakes. I wonder if there are differences in the
"answer" to production vs attraction in fresh vs marine waters?
