Has anyone used a GPS unit that provides sub meter accuracy under the forest
canopy? I am not concerned if I can get this accuracy real-time or post
processing as long as I can have it eventually. All I have ever used is
units of up to about $500 and they do not do the trick. I have seen surveyor
grade units with millimeter accuracy in the open, but I wonder how well they
do in the forest, especially when the slope prevents view to nearly half of
the satellites... I intend to use it in leaves-off condition to alleviate at
least some of the obstruction.

Thanks,
Luben
