I'm curious if there are members on the list that are familiar with the =
stream bank stabilization technique of joint planting (inserting live =
stakes in riprap). I'm hoping this practice can be done along a couple =
streams here in Indiana but I'm not getting a great response. The sites =
are along some streams with gravel substrates and decent amount of fall. =
The slopes are proposed to be 2:1 and armored with Class 1 riprap =
layered 2 feet thick with a geotextile underneath. The sites possess =
some natural quality so I'd like to include plantings within the riprap. =
I've seen the practice mentioned in numerous bioengineering guides but =
have not seen it on the ground. Thank you for any insight.
