Dear all,
I'm interested in purchasing a number (10 - 40) of cheap (if such a thing
exists) data loggers to record temperature and humidity, and also dessication
(I think the latter are called 'evapotranspometers', and may have to be a
separate bit of kit). They are to be left in the field in tree crowns; it
should be possible to protect them from rain or physical assault by placing
them under the roofs of our insect flight interception traps.
We probably only need a reading every few hours, for no more than, say, 3-5
weeks. The data loggers I've found so far are a bit too expensive - not less
than about 90 Euros each - but I really don't think we need all the
capabilities of these machines, so I'm foraging for something cheaper, maybe
slightly less durable, and with inexpensive accompanying software. I'm in
France - a nearby supplier would be great but is not essential.
If anyone has any info or can point me in the direction of previous
correspondence on this subject, that would be great.
Richard Bailey.
