disturbances
(including fire, habitat fragmentation, invasive species, and urbanization),
plant-pollinator
interactions, algae in streams and rivers, global climate change, and winter
ecology of small
mammals. Two new faculty members specializing in conservation biology (of
plants and animals)
will be added to the program in fall 2007. Research projects in collaboration
with staff at the
Wildlife Conservation Society (www.wcs.org) and New York Botanical Garden
