Community or Ecosystem Ecology and Evolutionary Genomics
Stony Brook University's Department of Ecology and Evolution seeks to fill two positions at the Assistant Professor level, although exceptional candidates at other levels will be considered. Ecology: Required: Ph.D. in Ecology or related field; demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to teaching. We welcome applications from candidates whose work concerns ecosystems and/or communities. Evolutionary Genomics: Required: Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology or related field; demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to teaching. We welcome applicants who use computational, experimental, comparative, functional or statistical approaches and who work on either model or non-model systems, including humans. For both positions strong skills in mathematical modeling and/or statistics are desirable.
