Director, Division for Ecology and Conservation Science
Description:
Director of the Division for Ecology and Conservation Sciences is a
senior administrator at the level of Professional or Senior
Professional Scientist (full-time, state funded). The Director
provides leadership, vision, and direction on significant
initiatives, research projects, and outreach programs within the
Division and manages staff and budgets. Applicants must have a broad
scientific background in natural resources, conservation science, or
basic or applied ecology; demonstrated ability to effectively lead
and manage staff; and a strong interest in public/government service.
A Ph.D. in biological sciences with minimum of 8 years relevant
experience is required. Located on the University of Illinois

pioneering leadership in the fields of natural resources,
conservation, and ecology. Our staff of over 180 scientists and
