Tenure-track position, Assistant/Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics
The Science Programs at the Vancouver Campus and the Mathematics Department of Washington State University invite applications for a full-time, tenure- track Assistant or Associate Professor position in applied mathematics located in Vancouver. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and collaborative individual who uses mathematical techniques to study biological and/or environmental problems and teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Area of specialization is open but exceptional scholars who complement the strengths of existing science faculty are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a PhD in mathematics or a closely-related field by date of hire and demonstrate high potential to establish an externally funded research program that includes mentoring and teaching diverse graduate and undergraduate students. WSU Vancouver offers undergraduate and graduate programs and is expected to double its student body and faculty in the coming years.
