Environmental Forestry Technician - Part Time / Temporary (1 position) Weyerhaeuser, Environmental Forestry, Federal Way, WA=09 Reports to: Jason Walter, Aquatic Biologist Contact information: (253) 924-6795 or [EMAIL PROTECTED] Submit resume to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Salary: $15.00 per hour (w/ overtime paid at time and a half) Dates of Position: April 2007 through October 2007 (approximately) Hours: 40+ hours per week Deadline for applications: March 21, 2007 Background/Key Functions: As part of the Weyerhaeuser Environmental Forestry, Aquatic Biology Research Team, the candidate will primarily assist Weyerhaeuser biologists in the collection of data on fish populations and stream habitat. Information collected will be used to support the development of effective forest management practices that provide protection for aquatic resources. There may be opportunity to assist other Environmental Forestry personnel on additional projects as needed. Requirements: A general understanding of field processes relating to the above described work. Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and eager to take on responsibilities. Able to work safely under adverse conditions such as inclement weather and harsh terrain. Willingness to travel within Washington (including overnight stays) and work long field days as needed. Valid driver's license and ability to navigate safely on logging access roads. Good physical condition. Pre-employment drug screen required.
