I am soliciting applications for a graduate research assistant in aquatic ecotoxicology at the Ph.D. or M.S. level beginning fall 2007 within The Institute of Environmental and Human Health (TIEHH) and the Department of Environmental Toxicology at Texas Tech University. =20 Applicants should have some level of experience and/or interest in ecology and aquatic toxicology. Experience conducting sediment and aqueous toxicity tests with resident and/or standardized aquatic organisms a plus. The successful candidate will be independent and highly motivated and good writing skills are essential for the Ph.D. level. =20 Research interest in this lab is focused on the interface of ecology and aquatic toxicology focusing on ecosystem, community, and species-level responses to contaminant impacts.
