=20 =20 CALL FOR PARTICIPATION My Community, Our Earth: Geographic Learning for Sustainable Development Biodiversity Initiative in Central America The MyCOE partnership announces a new initiative building upon our = current work and partnership with USAID, USGS, ESRI and other = public/private partners and focusing attention local capacity to use = geography and geographic technologies for biodiversity initiatives in = Central America. A MyCOE Biodiversity Youth Cadre will be formed from = participants in 10 target countries, competitively selected for their = long-term potential to contribute to the region's biodiversity issues. = They will be paired with local / in-country mentors as well as provided = with mentoring from the MyCOE partnership broadly. Both students and = their mentors will receive modest stipends to conduct projects of 3 to 6 = month duration and receive support to attend a capacity building and GIS = workshop in the region.
