Dear Mammalogists,

This is a repetition of an earlier e-mail, to which I have not
received many replies. I would appreciate any answers / ideas /
references (pdf). Are there any available studies?

The questions are:

1) Which small mammals eat slugs (or snails) and what is their
percentage in diet?.
2) In which habitats do these small mammals occur or 'hunt?'.
3) When eating e.g. slugs, will small mammals ingest attached (to the
slime) particles like small stones, wood, or other attached
particles, slug poison-pellets, or rather scrape them off...?

I hereby define "small mammals" as rodents and eulipotyphla (former
insectivores).
