For Galapagos and Conservation enthusiasts this is important stuff.

In many trips to Galapagos have seen a couple of things:

1. Guides going ashore, killing goats and feeding them to passengers =
under a different name. Had a group where the Guides were not very =
diplomatic and dragged the animals back on deck in front of startled =
passengers. Funny to me, but of course not part of their Galapagos =
itinerary.

2. I know of one co. that actually has taken people ashore and let them =
take part in the hunt.=20

I've been told by people even at the Charles Darwin Research Station =
that eradicating goats in Galapagos was an impossible task. It would be =
great news.

I also question many of the U of MD's comments in this article and would =
be pleased to discuss with him in any format that he chooses.
