A gathering of faculty and future faculty in environmental programs to discuss the direction of our field and other professional concerns. The Summit is a highly participatory opportunity to assess the state of the field and advance it. Keynote speakers include Robin Kimmerer on traditional and scientific ecological knowledge and Eban Goodstein on Focus the Nation: Global Warming Solutions for America. Breakout sessions on a host of topics relating to professional development, curriculum design, local, national, and international engagement. In response to several requests, the program committee for the Summit has created this new option for participants who want to make presentations or stimulate discussion on a particular topic or who wish to appear on the program in order to receive travel funding from their home institutions.
