I looked for some a few years ago for picking roots with no luck. I
ended up using coated ceramic serving trays that I found at a thrift
store. (Extra bonus, along the lip there are silhouettes of people with
cocktails so my undergrad root-pickers can daydream about Happy Hour
while they pick roots.)

Another alternative, one of my collegues used to use clear glass pyrex
baking dishes with sheets of white paper underneath.

Subject: Re: source for white enamel pans

I think BioQuip might have them.
You might also try VWR - they did have them a few years ago.
They are very hard to find - I need some myself.
