Postdoctoral Research Opportunity in Hydrological Modeling: Flathead Lake=20 Biological Station of The University of Montana invites applications for a= =20 postdoctoral researcher to study relations between river discharge regime=20 and salmon habitat for large basins of the North Pacific Rim. The=20 successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary research team=20 utilizing computational hydrological models with climate reanalysis and=20 satellite remote sensing to simulate river discharge characteristics and=20 climate change impacts on salmon habitat structure and diversity. We seek= =20 candidates with the following skills.
=B7 Demonstrated expertise in computational hydrological modeling=20 using DHSVM, RHESSys, VIC or similar models. =B7 Educational background in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering,= =20 Physical Geography or related fields. =B7 Programming ability in C/C++. =B7 Proficiency with image processing and GIS software (e.g., Matlab,= =20 ArcGIS/IMS/SDE, ENVI/IDL). =B7 Proficiency in conducting independent scientific research and=20 demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed scientific literature.
