It is time to cast your vote to determine the theme of the Meeting of Young Researchers in Earth Sciences (MYRES) for 2008.
MYRES is a biannual, 4-day meeting planned for and hosted by younger members of the international earth sciences community. Meetings consist of field trips, comprehensive tutorials and focused discussions surrounding interdisciplinary research themes. The meeting theme is chosen by an open voting process. As young researchers at the National Center for Earth- Surface Dynamics we propose the next theme be The Dynamic Interactions of Life and Its Landscape. This integrative theme represents an innovative direction in earth-surface research that acknowledges potential two-way interactions between landscape and its inhabitants across multiple scales.
