Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let everyone know of a couple of fieldwork opportunities coming
up. First, I am working on a project considering the effects of
freeze-damage and simulated herbivory on oak health in the Missouri Ozarks.
I am leaving tomorrow and coming back on Friday or Saturday (negotiable)
(Tuesday August 21st-Saturday August 25th). For the same project, I’ll also
be going back on Tuesday September 18th-Friday September 28th (or earlier if
the data collection is finished). I know this is extremely short notice,
but the person I had lined up to help wasn’t able to make it at the last
minute. Transportation to and from St. Louis will be provided.

We are also considering the effects of forest timber management on natural
communities of insect herbivores through the Missouri Ozark Forest Ecosystem
Project (MOFEP). We have a spot available from August 27th-August 31st and
possibly the second week as well (Sept. 3rd-Sept. 7th). Again,
transportation to and from St. Louis will be provided.

If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please let me know by
e-mail AND phone (269) 370-1019 ASAP.

Thanks!
Dr. John Landosky
