As Jeff Stratford just pointed out to me, Barbara Forrest is a historian interested in evolutionary theory and its history (i.e., she is not an evolutionary biologist).
Minor point, but I'm guessing the distinction is somewhat important to Barbara so I figured I owed it to her to point out my error.
