Dear list memebers,=0A=0AMy lab is studying Salamandra larviposition strate=
gies using field experiments.=0ASalamandra venture out of their shelters to=
larviposit in ponds only during rainy nights.=0AWe are considering an expe=
riment where Salamandra females will be kept in enclosures with an artifici=
al shelter and a few mesocosm pools. During the experiment it is likely to =
rain only a couple of times, if at all, so we plan to use water/mist sprink=
lers in each enclosure near the salamander's shelter.=0ADoes anyone know wh=
ether this might succeed in inducing larviposition activity? Has this been =
tried with other amphibian species that oviposit/larviposit only during rai=
