"How as a people do we alter our course of government?" The answer is quite=
simple. WE VOTE. Considering less than half of the eligible voters in our =
country vote, I think the blame lies somewhere else than in miscreant polit=
icians. They are a symptom of the bigger problem. The politicians know that=
the majority of americans don't vote and are hardly concerned with politic=
s. This is why, I think, they can get away with the things they do. If even=
90 percent of the eligible voters voted I think we would have a remarkably=
different government. They would pay more attention to what the people wan=
ted.
