Funds Available for Chesapeake Bay Restoration Efforts: $100K for community-based fisheries restoration projects
=20 Deadline: 5 p.m., December 7, 2007 Grant Requests of: Up to $35,000=20 =20 The FishAmerica Foundation and the Chesapeake Bay Trust are calling for proposals for meaningful community-based fisheries restoration projects in the Chesapeake Bay watershed of Maryland. Projects should also have a clear and identifiable benefit to fish populations and the sport of fishing. =20 =20 Sportfishing clubs and conservation organizations working in the Chesapeake Bay watershed of Maryland are asked to submit proposals by December 7, 2007. Grants of up to $35,000 will be awarded in February 2008. Eligible projects include fish passage enhancement, instream habitat restoration, riparian restoration, streambank stabilization and wetland creation and improvement.
