You can also get funding from individual bases, if your research will =
help the base answer their specific ecological problems or questions. =
The military takes environmental stewardship seriously, and staffs all =
bases with environmental scientists and ecologists. If there is a =
nearby base that you think is just crying out for your research project, =
you need to call them and ask them to review your proposal.
