MICROBIOLOGIST. As part of an on-going expansion of Biological Science faculty, Kent State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Biological Sciences (http://biology.kent.edu/). We seek a microbiologist that uses cellular and/or molecular methods to address fundamental questions in an ecological/ environmental context. Emphases may include one or more of the following: microbial ecology, biogeochemistry, environmental genomics and/or proteomics, microbial physiology, the ecology of infectious diseases, or applied or environmental microbiology. The department has a vibrant ecology program that emphasizes interdisciplinary research, and offers outstanding research facilities and startup funds. The successful candidate is expected to establish a high-quality, extramurally funded research program and exhibit a commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience. =20
