The 2nd British Ecological Society Tropical Ecology Group 
Early Career Researcher Meeting will be held at the University
of Oxford, March 18-19 2008.

The two-day conference will include all aspects of tropical ecology. The aim
is to facilitate dialogue between tropical ecologists at the start of their
careers and provide a relaxed environment for exchanging ideas and
experiences of working with tropical ecosystems.

Invited speakers:

BILL LAURANCE (STRI, Panama)
Ecosystem decay in Amazonian forest fragments

CALLUM ROBERTS (University of York, UK)
The unnatural history of the sea

Call for Abstracts
Talks from any aspect of tropical ecology, both terrestrial and marine,
theoretical, empirical and applied and with any study organism(s) are welcome.

Please submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations to

Deadline for submissions Monday, 28 January, 2008
Abstracts should be less than 150 words in length, excluding the title,
authors and affiliations which should be included at the start of the
abstract.
