Dear Colleagues,

(Apologies for cross-posting this request on a couple of listserves)

Carline Brophy, John Connolly, and I are writing to request access to plant
population data sets which include significant numbers of non-reproductive
individuals. We wish to test the generality and broader suitability of our
proposed analytical approach to modeling reproductive allocation in such
populations - see Brophy, C., Gibson, D.J., Wayne, P.M. & Connolly, J. 2007.
A modeling framework for analyzing the reproductive output of individual
plants grown in monoculture. Ecological Modelling, 207: 99-108. doi:
10.1016/j.ecolmodel.2007.04.008.

Specifically, we seek datasets which include measurements of the
reproductive allocation of individuals grown either in monoculture or mixed
stands in either pot or field settings. We will of course be happy to
provide appropriate recognition to the owners of the datasets. In the first
instance we wish to use these data to develop a presentation to be given at
the 2008 ESA meeting in August, with the intention of writing up our
findings for publication.

We would also like to know of publications which report on the occurrence of
reproductive and non-reproductive individuals, again, in any setting.

Many thanks, please respond directly to David Gibson
