The Massachusetts Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program has
posted a request for proposals for rare species inventory work in
Massachusetts on our website (go to www.nhesp.org then click on What's
New). Anyone interested in the various projects proposed for Army Corps
properties should just send me an e-mail indicating interest, at this
point the "anticipated" is more like "maybe these will happen later this
year."

In addition to the postings for the small research contracts, there are
several seasonal positions posted (
http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/nhesp/nhesp_jobs.htm ) (and there are
others for tern monitors on the state website, linked to the state jobs
web page. Sooner or later, the positions posted on the NHESP web site
will be on the state site, which will be the official posting.

The seasonal natural community ecologist position is my posting. It is
for the same work (one position however contracted) as described under
the natural community inventory work in the Housatonic Project in the
RFP for the Small Research Contracts. We have no particular preference
about which way we'd contract with the person to do the work, (the state
pays no benefits either way).
