We are seeking a postdoctoral research associate to assist in a study of forest response to climate change in the northeastern U.S.. We are seeking a candidate with training and experience in either 1) statistical modeling, GIS modeling and remote sensing of vegetation change or 2) statistical modeling and dendroecology. The ideal candidate would have strong skills in all of these areas, i.e., statistical modeling, remote sensing, and dendroecology. The position will be located in the lab of Dr. Brian Beckage (www.uvm.edu/ ~bbeckage) in the Department of Plant Biology at the University of Vermont (www.uvm.edu), located in Burlington, Vermont. The salary will be $35, 000 per year and includes health benefits and will be renewable annually, dependent on performance, for up to 3 years.
