The National Council for Science and the Environment has moved to new
offices at 1101 17th Street N W, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20036

Email addresses, phone numbers and the fax number remain the same.
However, for a period of days beginning next week we will be using a
temporary main phone number of (202) 266-2682 and a temporary fax
number of (202) 266-2680. There may be temporary disruption in phone
and email connections from late this afternoon through Tuesday as we
get settled in.
Please come and visit us in our new "green office". We have a number
of energy savings and low emissions features, including:
* "Day lighting" - allowing natural light into interior office space
* Motion sensors for lights to automatically turn off lighting
in rooms not being used
* Climate neutral Cool Carpet from Interface that zeros out all
greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with the entire lifecycle
of our carpet
* Reused existing fluorescent lighting to eliminate impact of
new fixture construction
* Fast growing bamboo flooring in reception area
* Ceiling tile from recycled materials
* Low VOC paint
* Used linoleum and rubber instead of more
environmental-impacting vinyl throughout.
We are still located 2 blocks from the Farragut North metro (red
line) allowing our employees and visitors to commute using mass
transit. Temporary office and meeting space will continue to be
available for members of our University Affiliate program while
visiting Washington, DC.
