Marine Microbial Ecologist, Assistant Professor, University of Delaware: The College of Marine and Earth Studies (CMES) invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in marine microbial ecology. The position is available after January 2009, and is located at the Lewes campus. Responsibilities will include development of a vigorous research program, teaching, and advisement of graduate students. We are looking for candidates applying molecular tools to understand the ecology of marine archaea, bacteria or protists. Examples of relevant research areas include biogeochemical cycles, metagenomics, molecular sensors, and organismal interactions (e.g. predator-prey, virus-host, and symbioses).
