On April 4, 2008 the Michigan State University Invasive Species Initiative will host the third in its series of symposia on "Invasive Species Ecology, Policy and Management". The symposium aims to bring together researchers, land managers, and decision makers to address current and future invasive species challenges in Michigan and the Great Lakes region. Dr. Peter Kareiva, Director of Science for The Nature Conservancy, will deliver the keynote address. MSU faculty and representatives from Michigan governmental agencies will present their work and join Dr. Kareiva in a panel discussion. In the afternoon, there will be invited research presentations followed by an open poster session and informal reception. All events will be held in the Student Union on the campus of Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI.
