I am new to multivariate analyses, and have a specific doubt that resists
to the books I have consulted so far. Could someone help me?
In running a PCA, I have log-transformed some of my data after inspection
for homoscedasticity and normality. I also understand that, since each variable
occurs in a different unity (meters, # individuals, etc.), data standardization
is recommended.
Doubt: can I transform my data AND standardize? Are these procedures
mutually exclusive?
