One that is out of print, but everyone should read and think about is Richard Vogl's "A Primer of Ecological Principles." It cuts through all the you-know-what. It is probably used as a "cheat sheet" by more ecologists than would like to admit it. I have misplaced my copy, however, so have had to "wing it." If I ever find it again, the quality of my posts should improve. One of the smartest ecologists that ever trod the planet. Lightly.

First of all, thank you to everyone who posted a reply to me! For those who are new to the list or who don't recall, I has asked for book recommendations for my next and final semseter. My focus will be on exploring the different aspects of various schools of environmental/ecological thinking.

I may NEVER get through all of these titles, and I may end up borrowing some from the library, but it's worth it to have a huge list to choose from (and to build upon for years to come)!

In addition to the half-dozen nature journalling books I already bought (which seem to range from 'how to' to 'why should I'), I've done some research and am waiting with 'bated breath for my first shipment of books:
