The Massachusetts Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program, part of
the Division of Fisheries & Wildlife has an opening for State Botanist.

The State Botanist compiles and analyzes data on the occurrence and
distribution of populations and habitats of the state's vascular flora,
especially its rare and endangered plant species. As an integral part of
the Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program (NHESP) the botanist
also plans and implements inventory, research and management programs to
conserve the Commonwealth's endangered, threatened and special concern
plant species. This is a Civil Service position and the application must
be through the state, using the criteria on the state website.
