The Siskiyou Field Institute provides field-based educational and research opportunities that foster a deeper understanding of the unique natural features of the Klamath-Siskiyou region in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Field studies for a broad audience incorporate diverse disciplines and disseminate the most current ecological information, cultivating a greater understanding of and intimate connection with the natural world. SFI believes education and research will foster creative and responsible stewardship. Courses offered this year include Lichen Dyeing, Seabirds and Marine Mammals, Botany for Beginners, Lava Beds Bat Watch, and Edible Mushrooms. SFI also offers a Naturalist Certificate.
