Candidate will participate in research on distribution and activity of microorganisms involved in nitrogen fixation in open ocean and coastal environments.
RANK: Junior Specialist I Associate Specialist III (1-2 positions available) SALARY: $33,672 - $55,464, commensurate with qualifications and experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in biology or related discipline. Basic knowledge of personal computers and use of basic spreadsheet and word processing software required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Background in biology, experience with basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA sequencing. Knowledge of basic UNIX commands preferable. Marine/molecular microbiology background preferable. Bioinformatics experience desired. POSITION AVAILABLE: As soon as possible after closing date.
