[ECOLOG-L] marking insects

Does anyone have experience with capture-mark-recapture of insects, 
specifically orthopterans, to estimate population size in the field? 
I'm planning to use a dusting (Day-Glo florescent powder) method, but 
am not sure when and how often to trap after the initial capture-mark 
session. I will be marking crickets, which have incomplete 
metamorphosis, so marking nymphs may be an issue potentially.
