I have a question regarding elasticity analysis for matrix models. The
elasticity values are identical for some of the transitions. Could some one
please shed some light as to why I am getting these identical elasticity
values for different transitions.

This isn't necessarily strange. Consider an age-structured (Leslie matrix)
model where organisms are born at age 0 and start to reproduce at age 3. The
fraction of newborns reaching the age at maturity is the product

p_0 * p_1 * p_2

So a 5% increase in any one of {p_0,p_1,p_2} will have exactly the same
effect on lambda, hence their elasticities will be identical.
