Dear Are,
Thanks for the offer of the Jubilee River film. I would love to see it.
Would you send the CD, send the file, or stream it?
/A River Reborn/ is also about wildlife habitat and tells the details of
restoration for Arizona native fish and the problems of invasive
species. There are now 10 native fish species in the restored river. Two
of these are listed as endangered and two are threatened. The film shows
the details of stream ecology research including macroinvertebrate,
algae, and leaf litter surveys as well as radio-isotope food chain
analyses.
There are ongoing stewardship issues and we hope to do /A River Reborn/
part II in a couple of years. We are currently producing three
educational resource guides one for high school, one for college , and
one for use by community educators. www.mpcer.nau.edu/RiverReborn
Best Wishes!
Stefan

If anyone is interested I have a video CD of the diversion and restoration
of the Jubilee River in England. Apparently there have been issues of the
river breaking its banks and causing severe flooding in a nearby town.
They diverted the river slightly to avoid the town and cleaned up large
contaminated areas to provide the new route as well as established
wildlife habitat. Interesting project.
Please let me know if this is of interest to you.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend...I know I need a break!
