Job title: Postdoc - Experimental disease ecology One opening is available for a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley to study the ecology of insect-borne plant diseases. The researcher will conduct field and laboratory experiments to understand the role of vector behavior on disease spread. Applicants should have received a PhD in disease ecology, population biology, behavioral ecology, or a related field within the past 2 years. A strong background in experimental design and data analysis, and excellent writing skills are required. A knowledge of insect behavior and plant pathology is desirable but not required. Appointments will be made at a level commensurate with academic qualifications and experience. One year position, with the potential for renewal upon satisfactory performance.
