AgRefresh, a premier agriculture-focused U.S. environmental and carbon
accountancy, seeks creative quantitative analysts with a passion for solving
climate change challenges. We need data-literate individuals with
demonstrated competency in carbon accounting or related disciplines. Join
an entrepreneurial team focused on carbon market opportunities for producers
in biofuels, dairy, and other segments of the agricultural and forestry sectors.
In the fight against human-induced climate change, we are developing an
understanding of market mechanisms to facilitate financial incentives for
those who effect positive change in that fight. Our focus centers on
agriculture, and the activities and processes that most efficiently utilize
renewable resources. To do that, AgRefresh is engaged in detailed studies of
carbon input and climate change models and how those models express
themselves on the ground in the real world. By our success in quantifying
improvements to current processes, we will enable the agriculture sector to
benefit from actions that produce a more sustainable way of life.

We require strong experience including:
• Dynamic quantitative analysis with proven ability to develop and operate
complex quantitative models including sensitivity and uncertainty analysis.
• Proven ability to communicate scientific and numeric data and
calculation
methodologies through technical writing.
• Superior data analysis and presentation skills including excel,
statistical packages, SQL database design, and graphic design.

Principal duties will include:
• Team participation in building AgRefresh’s carbon accounting software
tools.
• Client data collection and management for on-going carbon accounting.
• Becoming sector-specific, domain expert on carbon standards and
protocols.
• Communicating the information you develop to all stakeholders.

We prefer prior experience and formal training in:
•       Agricultural engineering, environmental sciences, and related fields;
and/or,
• Environmental accounting including life cycle analysis, carbon markets,
and greenhouse gas protocols.

Advanced degree expected.
