Post-doc Position on :

Predicting the impact of climate change on plant species distribution in Europe

The ECOSPAT lab (http://www.unil.ch/ecospat) is looking for a motivated
young scientist to work on the European ECOCHANGE project
(http://www.ecochange-project.eu). 
The candidate will work on improving predictions of climate change impact on
plant species distribution in Europe but also at more local scale in the
Alps and the Arctic. 
Species data have already been or are currently sampled and a large set of
environmental predictor is also already available. 
The candidate will additionally have to interact with graduate students on
improving modelling tools and methodological aspects.

The candidate should have expertise in spatial modelling of species
distribution, and feel comfortable working with ArcGIS and the R statistical
package. Good knowledge of botany and plant ecology, and particularly of the
flora of the Alps and/or the arctic will be highly appreciated.
