Ecosystem Ecologist Position, Department of Plant Biology, University
of Vermont
The Department of Plant Biology at the University of Vermont is
seeking applications for an ecosystem ecologist to join a diverse
interdisciplinary group of scholars. The position is for a tenure-
track assistant professor, beginning in the fall of 2009. The
successful candidate will be expected to implement a productive
research program, consistently attract extramural funding, and develop
a record of strong teaching ability. Teaching will be in an area of
the candidate's expertise as well as in basic environmental studies
courses. A Ph.D. is required, and postdoctoral experience is
preferred. Preference will be given to candidates whose research
addresses the effects of global change on ecosystem processes.
